If you’re into the strange, bizarre, or just flat-out weird, the Las Vegas Oddities & Curiosities Expo is where you’ll find your people. This traveling expo brings together a mix of vendors, collectors, and artists who specialize in the unusual. Whether you’re looking for taxidermy, horror-themed artwork, or strange antiques, this is the spot to explore. It’s not your average convention—this is a celebration of all things creepy, quirky, and cool.
For those who are into oddities, this expo is like Disneyland. You’ll find booths filled with things like preserved specimens, medical curiosities, and skulls (yes, real ones). But it’s not all about bones and bugs—there are also vendors offering handmade jewelry, home decor, and clothing that fit the alternative, gothic, and horror vibes. Whether you’re a serious collector or just looking for a one-of-a-kind souvenir, there’s something here for everyone. We didn’t buy much, one bird skull and one plague doctor pin. The bird skull does glow under UV light though. We easily could have gone wild and spent thousands if we had the room or wall space.
One of the best parts? The live entertainment and interactive experiences. The expo often features sideshow performances. We’ve heard there have been sword swallowers, fire breathers, and contortionists—giving it a carnival-like feel that adds to the atmosphere. We didn’t see swords or fire, but we did catch Scarlet Checkers the contortionist clown. Something amazing you didn’t know you needed to see until you saw it. There’s also the chance to meet and mingle with artists, authors, and other creatives who specialize in the weird and wonderful. You never know who you’ll bump into, but chances are they’ll be as into oddities as you are.
The expo is family-friendly, but it definitely leans toward the darker side of things, so if your kids love spooky stuff, they’ll have a blast. Just keep in mind, some of the displays can be a little intense (think real human bones or vintage medical tools), so it might not be for the faint of heart. If you’re into the strange and unusual, though, it’s a must-see.
Another cool thing about the Las Vegas Oddities & Curiosities Expo? You’re not going to find mass-produced items here. Most vendors are independent artists or collectors, which means the pieces you pick up are truly unique. From creepy-cute plushies to one-of-a-kind taxidermy mounts, you’re supporting small businesses and getting something totally original. Plus, it’s a great place to meet people who share your interests in the strange and eclectic.
But even if you’re not in the market to buy, the expo is worth checking out just for the experience. It’s like walking through a museum of the macabre, with the added bonus that you can take some of it home with you. You’ll see things you never even knew existed, and the vibe is fun, open, and welcoming. Whether you’re a hardcore collector or just curious about what goes on at an oddities expo, you’ll find something that piques your interest. The Oddities & Curiosities Expo is held in the Las Vegas World Market Center. There are some basic convention food outlets in the facility that can get you through if your starving. You are also minutes away from Downtown and all the food choices you could ever hope for.
In a city that’s already known for the unusual, the Las Vegas Oddities & Curiosities Expo stands out as one of the most unique events around. It’s the perfect place to escape the typical Vegas routine and dive into something a little more, well, weird. So, if you’re into the offbeat and love discovering things that make you say “what even is that?,” this expo is right up your alley. Just be prepared to leave with something you never expected—and maybe a few new curiosities to add to your collection.
