13 Kid-Friendly Las Vegas Shows Frequent Visitors Recommend

Last updated 07/14/22

We asked frequent Las Vegas visitors what shows their kids enjoyed. There were 30 different shows mentioned by our group of Las Vegas visitors, and these are the top 13 shows. We made our own list trying to predict what shows would end up on this list. We were surprised by quite a few shows that we never even considered. Cirque du Soleil shows, magicians, and variety shows make up the majority of the list, but there are a few unique shows on the list that we found hard to categorize or describe. Based on your kid’s likes and dislikes, you should be able to find a show for the whole family.

1. Blue Man Group

Location: Luxor

Age Restriction: None

Time: 105 minutes

Blue Man Group was hands down the most recommended show by our group of Las Vegas visitors. The energetic, percussion-driven show entertains kids and parents alike. The Blue Man Group is a theatric show unlike any other on our list.

One thing we’ve always admired about the Blue Man Group is an annual sensory-friendly show they do for children with autism or other sensory-related issues. Sound dampening earphones and ear plugs, fewer strobe lights, and not entering the crowd as much are some of the changes to the show. Changing their show to try and include everyone makes them good people in our book.

2. Beatles Love

Location: Mirage

Age Restriction: over 5

Time: 90 minutes

We were shocked Beatles Love came so highly recommended for kids. This wasn’t a show that came to mind when we thought about kid-friendly shows, but it was recommended almost as much as Blue Man Group. Beatles Love is the first Cirque du Soleil show to make this list. Obviously, the show has the music of the Beatles, but there are also acrobatics, trapeze, and dance numbers that keep kids entertained. Most of the frequent Las Vegas visitors mentioned they have seen the show multiple times and the parents enjoy the show as much as their kids.

3. Michael Jackson One

Location: Mandalay Bay

Age Restriction: over 5

Time: 90 minutes

The second Cirque du Soleil show that made the list. Much like Beatles Love, we didn’t think of Michael Jackson One when we were making our list of shows we thought would be recommended. Michael Jackson One combines dance and Michael Jackson’s music with a visually stunning show. And, there’s a Michael Jackson hologram.

4. Tournament of Kings

Location: Excalibur

Age Restriction: None

Time: 90 minutes

Sword fighting, jousting, knights, horses, song, and wizards in a giant arena while eating food with your hands? How could this show not make this list? You sit in a giant arena and cheer on your knight as they fight and compete. The kids will enjoy the high energy and constant movement, but maybe not the food as much. But, you get to eat with your hands. There are fireworks involved in the show, so be forewarned.

5. Mystère

Location: Treasure Island

Age Restriction: None

Time: 90 minutes

Another Cirque du Soleil show, they must be doing something right. Kids will enjoy the comedy and acrobatics in this circus-themed show. Many of our frequent Las Vegas visitors mentioned the comedy and humor in the show as much as the acrobatics and daring stunts.

6. Jabbawockeez

Location: MGM Grand

Age Restriction: None

Time: 75 minutes

Dance crew Jabbawockeez performs amazingly choreographed dance routines to music from different decades and genres. Many of our Las Vegas visitors mentioned how small and intimate the Jabbawockeez theatre is, so there isn’t a bad seat in the house. We saw several comments about the flawless, high-energy dance routines.

7. Mac King

Location: Excalibur

Age Restriction: over 5

Time: 70 minutes

The first magician/comedian to make our list. The Mac King show is an afternoon show so it might fit better into your kid’s schedule. Many commenters mentioned the comedy as much as the magic tricks. There is audience interaction and participation that could make a really special memory for any kid picked. Mac King is truly a family show and parents will find it as entertaining as the kids.

8. Shin Lim: Limitless

Location: Mirage

Age Restriction: over 5

Time: 90 minutes

Shin Lim is a two-time America’s Got Talent winner and there’s a reason why, mind blowing tricks that don’t disappoint. The comedy filled magic show tells the story of Shin Lim’s life. Shin Lim does a lot of card tricks, but large screens in the theatre ensure they are visible to the audience.

As a bonus magician/comedian Colin Cloud also performs his mind-reading magic, so it’s like getting two shows in one.

9. Extravaganza

Location: Bally’s

Age Restriction: over 5

Time: 90 minutes

Dancers, skaters, comedians, motorcycles, holograms, jugglers, crossbow shooting, showgirls, ventriloquists, and more. Over 30 performers make this variety show more than amazing. Many of our frequent visitors described Extravaganza as an “old school” Vegas-style show. Extravaganza has something for everyone in the family

10. KÀ

Location: MGM Grand

Age Restriction: over 3

Time: 90 minutes

The last, but not least, Cirque du Soleil show on our list.  Dancing, baton juggling, archery, aerial dancing and fighting, and even shadow puppeteering make this show a unique experience. Wondrous sets, gorgeous costumes, excellent choreography, fantastic music, and a spectacular moving stage make Ka exciting and visually stunning. There are multiple pre shows involving string instruments, and acrobatics of the archers and spearmen so you can show up early and still be entertained.

11. Paranormal-Mind Reading Magic Show

Location: Bally’s

Age Restriction: over 5

Time: 75 minutes

Magician, hypnotist and mentalist Frederic Da Silva will shock and amaze as he tells you what you have in your pocket, or tells you the name your thinking of. Paranormal is a smaller, more intimate show with plenty of audience participation. One thing several parents mentioned is how clean the show was, nothing inappropriate for children.

Several of our frequent visitors mentioned meeting Frederic Da Silva after the show, he does a meet and greet afterward, and he guessed their number from 1-99.

12. America’s Got Talent Live

Location: Luxor

Age Restriction: over 5

Time: 80 minutes

America’s Got Talent Live is just like the TV show, without the judges. This variety show features several different performers from past seasons of the show. The show features acts that were past winners and fan favorites. Our frequent visitors loved the non-stop action and were on the edges of their seats for some of the daredevil stunts performed. If your kids are a fan of the show this is a sure-fire hit.

13. Terry Fator

Location: New York-New York

Age Restriction: over 5

Time: 70 minutes

Terry Fator is a ventriloquist, comedian, celebrity impersonator, and singer that combines all of these talents into a really entertaining and amazing show. Many of our commenters remember Terry Fator from America’s Got Talent and wanted to see him in his own show. Terry Fator has several different puppets with their own voices and personalities.
